The 2008 season ended last night on a sad note.  The Marauders lost to the Arcadia Titans in 3 games.  18-25, 18-25, 12-25. 
We had spurts of good play, but had a hard time getting any consistency with that.  We had a good second game but couldn't put together enough offense to finish the game.  In the 3rd game we had the lead early and then our passing fell apart.  The Titan's dominated the game and that was something we knew we had to do and just never got it going.
I was disappointed in the officiating for the state level competition.  We have very good officials here at Mingus and I guess we expect that everywhere, but especially at a state game. 
Three seniors played their last game of volleyball at Mingus.  It was sad and we will not forget their contributions to our 2008 season.  Heather Rux had 11 kills, and 2 blocks.  Chelsea Chavez had 8 kills and2 blocks, Kelsey had an ace serve and 20 assists.  We will miss you guys.
